It's Raining, It's Pouring

We have been waiting all summer for the monsoons to get here and our wait is finally over. We were having history this afternoon and afterwards it started to rain buckets and buckets. Our great friends the Pottle's were over and the kids just had to play in the rain. About 10 minutes before it started they were out back doing a rain dance because they really wanted some rain. They were so excited it worked. Here they are enjoying this very wet weather.

Here they are just coming out of the rain in desperate need of some towels.

The kids kept saying it was so cold outside. We really do have some thin skin in Arizona.

I have been wanting and wanting rain but oh I did not even think about this lovely problem. We now have a muddy lake in out backyard. Oh what I wouldn't give for some grass.
