Who knew no t.v. would mean no time for the computer. My goodness I can't believe how busy we were last week and I don't think anyone even missed the t.v. Well maybe Jerame but he survived and got quite a few projects taken care of. He had time to hook up the surround sound for the t.v. which was kinda funny since he couldn't use it, he weeded and de-rocked our dirt backyard. It looks great and all of the girls told him he did such a good job. They said it was beautiful. I should have taken a before and after because it really is a huge improvement even if it is still just dirt. He also spent two evenings with my brother getting a ton of pavers for our backyard from his grandpa. That was back braking labor but it will be so worth it once they are laid out around the garden. My favorite project he completed was the fixing of our armour in our bedroom. One of the cabinet doors broke when we moved and it has been driving me crazy. I wanted him to take the top cabinet doors and move them both to the bottom because I am way to lazy to get out of bed and open the doors if I want to watch t.v. so they always stay open anyway. Here are the pictures of his hard work paying off and of course his trusty side kick Audrey.

The last screw. It looks so much better not being able to see the drawers and shelves all the time. Thanks babe!

As for the rest of us on our t.v. free days we stayed very busy. I was able to finish our library labeling the shelves and finish organizing the books. It looks fabulous and pictures will follow shortly of our classroom. A few finishing touches are in the works. All of the girls during different parts of the week said that we sure are able to get a lot more done and had a lot more time to play without the t.v. Sydney even said that maybe we should turn off our cable and just watch movies on it sometimes because it was fun without it. I have to admit yesterday she said she was not serious at all and she really didn't want to give up her t.v. completely. We had a good laugh at her
expense, funny girl. I am happy to report this week the t.v. has hardly been on. The girls watched two cartoons this morning turned it off and went to play and do their chores. No one has even asked to turn it back on. I personally missed the t.v. only in the evenings when I was tired after a busy day and wanted to relax. I found other things to do with my time though and I am so happy with how it all turned out. We have done this before and this has been the best turn out yet normally when the week is up the girls fall right back into their normal routine. Everyone should try giving up their t.v. for a week and see what a difference it makes in your family!!!

We haven't had "t.v." in years - we watch movies only, but our movies include t.v. shows too.
Anyway... I am impressed with all the stuff you got done! I am tempted to turn the computer off for a week (that is where I waste my time) and see how much I can get done!!!
