Over the Rainbow

You know me always playing catch. I got busy the end of March but we still did fun things I wanted to document so here we go. We are going to take a jump back to St. Patrick's Day. I always like to do something fun on this day. Last year we ate nothing but green things so this year I decided to switch it up and we "Ate the Rainbow". We made a graph and every time the girls ate anything the would put an X on the graph. The had a blast with it and we even got a good math lesson out of it. We started our rainbow activities the day before St. Patrick's Day making these yummy rainbow cookies. I made very colorful sugar cookie dough and the kids mixed it together and they turned out super cute. We did this for art class. I called it edible art. I of course didn't remember to take any pictures until we were done but oh well.
I painted the girls toes like a rainbow. Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Purple.
Here they are sporting their green attire and standing by their graph.
Every year we get together with some friends and have a green dinner together. This year dinner was not as successful. I made an Alfredo pasta bake and dyed it green and the kids all thought it looked gross. For the most part once they tasted it they realized it was good but Sydney just couldn't get past it. I have to admit green died food is not the most appetizing. Oh well it was fun though. Here are the girls with a couple of their boys be silly. Thanks for coming over Wright Family!
