Geography Fair

We had a geography fair today with our home school group. First off I gotta say kudos to all you amazing mom's in the group. What a fabulous group of kids!!!! I feel so thankful to be inspired by all of you every week. We have had some windy weather in AZ lately so instead of braving a park everyone came to my house and set up there displays. It was a little cozy with 39 kids and 9 adults but I think we managed just fine. All of the kids were to choose a country or state to do a report about. They were to make a display and share a food from their destination. Our family did a report on Hawaii. Jerame and I will be going to HI in a few weeks and the girls have been full of questions so this came at the perfect time. The first shot is a group shot of them listening to one of the presentations. Not everyone but most.
Here the girls are standing with their display. We have been working on it all week.
This was there favorite part making the salt dough map. I remember doing this when I was in 4th grade. I made a map of AZ.
Here is there salt dough volcano and their Hawaiian pineapple.
Overall a fabulous activity but an exhausting day. I am glad these projects are not every month:)
