Poached Eggs

So for those of you who know my family well we love cooking shows. 90% of the time that the t.v. is on it is on The Food Network Channel. Yesterday we were watching a show and they made poached eggs. The girls all thought it was the coolest thing ever and when I said we were having breakfast for dinner tonight they all asked if we could make poached eggs. I figured it looked easy on t.v. I would give it a try. I have personally never eaten a poached egg but I was pleasantly surprised with the out come. I always thought they would be gooey or kinda a weird consistency but they were great. All of the kids liked them too. We made a take on eggs benedict. We put English muffins on the bottom, bacon next and the poached egg on top. My husband vetoed the hollandaise sauce so I left that out because it seemed like a lot of work if I was the only one who was going to eat it. Here is a picture of Sydney's plate, we chose hers because she had the prettiest egg.

Wow! That is a perfect poached egg, the cooking shows say that is one of the hardest things to do. Good job Schloss women!

Marshmallow temples is a REALLY fun idea! Thanks for the idea.

Olympics looked like a blast.

I love when kids get to play in the rain. Az is the best because it is still plenty warm outside when it rains and so it is JUST FUN!
