Okay so in our families we don't have birthday days, we have birthday weeks. Sydney started her birthday week by having her Grandpa and Grandma Patty over for dinner. She wanted pumpkin pie instead of cake.
On her birthday we had a family dinner and she wanted her favorite dinner hot dogs. We had to have burgers too because she wanted something that Kennedy would like because she is not that fond of hot dogs. I thought that it was awful sweet of her to be so considerate of her sister I happily got hamburgers too. The fact that I don't really like hot dogs either was not part of my decision at all. haha!
Anyway we sang again to her over cupcakes this time. She really got her fair share of desserts this week. I made it in to a gigantic S for Sydney which honestly took her way to long to get. Kennedy was like don't you see it Syd like this. (She used her hand and wrote an S in the air.) Finally Sydney goes "Oh I get it. That's cool!"
Anyway DJ had a little to much fun with Sydney's earrings too. Such a nerd:) I say this with lots of love DJ. We all had a great laugh. The girls thought it was hysterical that he could put earrings in his ears.
Saturday was her first ever friend birthday party. She invited a few friends from church and her sisters and cousins were there. I think we ended up having around 10 little girls. Sydney wanted a cheer themed birthday party and it totally turned out great. Her fabulous Aunt Ashley came over and taught a cheer dance to them. They were all so cute. We had all the parents come to our back yard and watch the dance when they picked up. It was really adorable and I am amazed at how fast they all caught on.
Sydney also wanted my friends mom who does face painting to come to her party. It was really cute she put a megaphone on every one's cheeks with eye shadow, lipstick, and glitter. They all thought they were in heaven.

That is a really good idea for a theme.... looks like such a blast and I must say you are VERY brave to have a chocolate fountain at a kid party. BRAVO. Thanks for putting the rest of us to shame.. :P
Court that was so cute! I love that blog! I think the party was awesome! : )
