Party Time
Okay I made it 5 days in a row. I know not 7 but at least I tried. Saturday we had a family birthday party for all of my girls. We have 3 birthdays in less than 30 days in our house so this year I decided to combine them and just have one big party. It was lots of crazy chaotic fun! We had about 30 people and I was so busy taking care of things I wasn't a very good picture taker but I did get a few. Yeah for Nana in getting this crazy 2 years old to eat her dinner.
Rory was passed around and finally passed out. The poor kid was so tired she missed her normal nap the day was so crazy:)
Audrey with her favorite present. She has been asking for drums for months. We have a couple of friends that have drum sets and she is obsessed.
For Kennedy's birthday last August she got a guitar so Delaney had to have one for her birthday too. Sherry found cases for them so she got one for Kennedy too even though it wasn't her birthday. For some reason I didn't get a picture of Delaney with hers. Taylor, Christin's cousin personalized them and they look great. Later that night they modeled all of the ways they can carry their guitars now that they have cases and they are already planning their Halloween costumes next year as rock stars:)
Not on purpose of course but my brother Beau and I wore matching colors:) It has been a long time since I had a picture with my brother and no kids:)
Everyone enjoying the homemade ice cream sandwiches my mom made. These are our fabulous neighbors.
Jerame and our neighbor John. Kennedy and Jack are picture hopping:)
Getting ready to open presents. My niece Keely has a birthday the same week as Sydney so she got presents too.
The aftermath....there was tissue paper all over the yard. It was a crazy loud party but everyone had lots of fun. Thanks for the fabulous presents everyone and for making the party such a success!!!!!

Soooo busy
No time for a long post today. I have spent the entire day getting ready for a family birthday party tomorrow so I thought I would post a few quick shots of Little Miss Rory.
She is getting so big it makes me sad. She has only rolled over once all by herself mostly she is just content to lay on her tummy and chew on her fingers. She is such a finger sucker she always has to have a bib on or her clothes are drenched.
Look at that cute smile and the rolls on her legs. She is such a tiny petite thing on the top and has the cutest thunder thighs:)

8 is Great
Sydney turned 8 years old yesterday. I can't hardly believe I have an 8 year old. She is changing so much. She has outgrown all of the little girl stuff and now wants time to herself to do her own thing. She loves drawing and has become a super reader and most of all she love, loves, loves, Rory. The novelty has worn off with the rest of the girls and holding Rory for more than a minute is a chore but not with Sydney. That girl would hold her all day long if I let her and she is good at it. Rory smiles, coos and laughs when Sydney is around. She comes in a very close second to her mom in Rory's eyes. I love watching them together they are so sweet. Anyway I am so proud of how mature she is getting and what a sweet young girls she is turning into. We had a fun day at home for her birthday. She woke up in the morning with tummy troubles s spent most of the morning laying on the couch watching t.v. (one of her favorite pass times) and dodging telephone calls from everyone calling to wish her a happy birthday. She is one grumpy sick kid. lol Oh well she felt better by lunch so the rest of the day went off as planned. We had art class at our house so we decided to have her birthday cake with her friend. Here is some of the gang waiting for cake.
We went inside so she could change her clothes and go ride her bike but first she had to open the rest of her presents.
Outfit change #3. She had to wear one of her new outfits out to ride her new bike:) She thinks she is just to cool. I can not even imagine what she will be like in 5 more years but I am excited to find out. Love you Sydney!

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo
We had the best field trip ever yesterday. We went to the Wildlife World Zoo. It had been so long since we had been there the girls didn't even remember it. The zoo is 5 minutes from my house so we went to the zoo in the morning, came home for lunch and naps and then went back to the the zoo with dad in the afternoon. Here are some fun pictures. Audrey was in love with the monkeys. If you at this picture close you will see the monkey she was looking at in the back. She thought it was super cool to take her picture with a monkey:)
The best part about this zoo is the animals are super close. Sydney took this picture and it isn't zoomed she is really that close.
Kennedy and Delaney are trying to feed the giraffe. Sydney tried but thought it was gross and kinda threw the food at the giraffes tongue.
They have a big playground too that the girls had to try out.
Audrey looks so grown up in this picture:)
There is a new aquarium at the zoo and this was the first one the girls had been to. It was super cool but the pictures didn't turn out well. Oh well here all the girls are taking turns touching the sting rays.

Laneybug
My dear sweet Delaney turned 5 last week. I can't hardly believe this and I think she has kind of out grown her nickname Laneybug. We went to CA for her birthday and had a great time.
We went to a fabulous hands on children's museum in Ventura. The girls love this place. We went a couple of years ago and the girls ask to go back every time. We had cold windy weather it was the perfect time to go back. Here they are playing in the restaurant.
They even got to watch a snake eat a mouse. Kennedy watched the whole thing and the other girls thought it was gross and moved on.
Here is Sydney standing on the moon. This room is actually all dark with cool lights. You can't even tell the walls are painted when you are in it.
This is a movable maze that the girls are trying to get a ball through. It takes great teamwork and is hard. I couldn't even do it and gave up. Look at the concentration on Kennedy's face.
Here the girls are in the broadcasting room. The took turns being the news reporter. Example of their dialogue. Sydney says, "Hello my name is Sydney Schloss. I am 7 years old......(giggle) The weather today is cold and windy. I sure hope it won't be like that tomorrow but our luck it will." It was way funny and they all took tons of turns. They even had costumes to put on in this room.

Building Character
How many of you have seen the movie Holes or read the book? In a nutshell, children that get into trouble are sent to this camp where they basically dig holes all day long to help them build character. Of course there is a lot more to the story, it is actually quite good. Anyway we have been building character at house by digging holes in the yard. We have been getting our yard ready for a garden and are digging holes to put up our fence around it. They have done this everyday for a week.(this was a couple of weeks ago, catching up remember)
My handsome hubby hard at work. He has been super supportive and helpful with getting the garden ready.
Delaney was not so crazy about her task here. She was trying to untangle the string she got all mixed up.
dirty as possible.
The completed garden pictures will be coming soon!
7 Day Challenge
I have been horrible at blogging lately so I am going to post once a day for 7 days to help me get caught up and help me make a routine out of it. I started this blog to keep family up to date on our lives and also to use it as a scrapbook for my family. Lets face it I am never going to get caught up on scrapbooking so here is my out. It is way less time consuming and less messy than scrapbooking and it helps me feel not so guilty of recording all of those great memories for my children. So here goes 7 days of blogging. I have tried this with myself before but have never kept to it. I figured if I told everyone I was gonna do it I would be a little more apt to follow through. I do way better if someone holds me accountable. Ready, Set, Blog......and no this does not count for today:)
